Teach my eyes (Belgium - Autumn 2010)

Lines of life and death in the window of self-compassion
Singing the songs that you can’t remember at all,
Songs made for another alter ego sadder than you
Written on the madness abdominal wall.

Aberrations of an unwanted dark dawn
Dear enemy of your guilty consequences
You know you can always bring out my worst
Always outside, never on time.

And I teach my eyes to speak slowly as long as I can smoke your breath
But if my face becomes strange turn off my lips and try to sing for me.
All the lies you told me were delicious while I’m trying to think if I’m still here
But if my face becomes bizarre turn off my lips and try to pray for you.

You can feed my skin with dust and pills of your illusion
To sell my soul is easy when I make my demons run
Silhouettes are little mirrors on my deepest shelter
You can escape from it all but never yourself.

Simulations in the garden of your senses
Are the open door for all the red eyes horses
You know you can always bring out my worst
Always outside, never on time.

And I teach my eyes to speak slowly as long as I can smoke your breath
But if my face becomes strange turn off my lips and try to sing for me.
All the lies you told me were delicious while I’m trying to think if I’m still here
But if my face becomes bizarre turn off my lips and try to pray for you.
